First Book and CD Tour: North Carolina 2003

updated 11/10/2009

Thanks to everyone who made my first North Carolina book and CD tour such a joy. Details are below.

December 4th,
I read from the book and played the CD for 3 classes. The students asked great questions. This first event was a joy.

December 5th, Southeastern Randolph Middle School, Ramseur
I spoke with an assembly of 8th graders. The time flew by. I looked up, and, all of the sudden, dozens of 13 year olds were actually focused on what I was saying.

December 5th, The Living Room Book & Pastry
709 East Market St, Ste 207, Greensboro; Phone: (336) 275-6333
The turnout was beautiful. I got to catch up with friends and family I hadn't seen in years.

December 6th, Asheboro Public Library
201 Worth St, Asheboro, http://www.randolphlibrary.org/
When I looked up from reading, I saw cherished friends and teachers (comprising the largest turnout of the tour) all smiling back at me. I also made new friends and ate some tasty oatmeal cookies brought in by the Friends of the Library.

December 6th, Sheryl and the Stephen Vaughan Trio at Tate Street Coffee House
334 Tate Street, Greensboro

These gentleman were great and the venue was full. I'd love to sit in with them again.

December 7th, Branch's Bookstore
243 South Elliott Rd, Chapel Hill, http://branchs.booksense.com/NASApp/store/IndexJsp
The staff at Branch's was so kind. Again, I was lucky to have a crowd of family, friends and friendly faces with whom to wrap up the tour.

December 15th
My interview on "The Seminar" program aired on WNAA (90.1 FM in Greensboro) at 5:30pm, http://wnaalive.ncat.edu/.
